Brand new hotness from our favorite German Boys Noize. If you don’t know him you should. Even Good Charlotte know Boys Noize and actually stole his CD cover for their latest CD (not cool you douches).
This latest leak is from Boys Noize’s upcoming CD/EP/Single-thingy (out June 22nd) and it’s a force. It is full of bouncey rhythms and squelchy synths that are simply infectious. I dare you not to dance to this. Make sure to check out their myspace and listen to the other song being released called “Starter”. It’s more of the classic hard-hitting Boys Noize that so many people have come to love.
Get this and let everyone know you were the first to hear it.

Continuing with my love of Swedish music (check the Dada Life post from yesterday) is Cleast Eatwood. Yes, I think the name is pretty lame but this song is not. It reminds me a lot of MGMT’s “Kids” with its simple melody and easy breezy (beautiful Cover Girl) air. Actually, add a bit of influence from fellow Swedes The Sound of Arrows, and you should know what to expect.

I got this new mix in my inbox a couple days ago. It immediately caught my attention for 3 reasons.
1) It is Dada Life and these Swedes have been killing it for years. It was always great to have a Dada Life or two back in the day when they weren’t so big and you needed something to get the crowd going. It would almost always result in someone running up to the DJ booth and asking “Who does this? I NEED this!”
3) It has my favorite song at the moment on it… Diplo & Afrojack – How I Like It. This song makes me want to headbutt someone… in a good way.
2) The mix starts with the Mr. Oizo’s remix of “Shoes” which you may remember I started my mix off with. I therefore beat Dada Life to something.
But for reals I’m a joke compared to these guys and after listening to this mix you’ll see why.
Tiga – Shoes (Mr Oizo Remix)
Unconditional – Gladiators (Nari & Milani Remix)
Curses! – The Deep End (Bart B More Remix)
Prodigy – No Good (Dimitri Vegas Bootleg Mix)
Dada Life – Happy Hands & Happy Feet (Malente’s Wasted Kidz & Wacky Mix)
Diplo & Afrojack – How I Like It
Djedjotronic feat.Spoek – Dirty and Hard (Boys Noize Remix)
Albin Myers – Times Like These (Dada Life Remix)
Proxy – Raven (Crookers Remix)
Dada Life – Cheap Thrills For A Lost Generation (12″ Edit)
Designer Drugs – Zombies (Bird Peterson Remix)
Don Diablo – Get on the floor (Don Diablo’s Just Begun Edit)
The Bloody Beetroots Feat Steve Aoki – WARP 1.9
We haven’t heard much from Lupe Fiasco lately. If you’re not quite sold on Japanese Cartoon then Lupe singles that are making their way out prior to L.U.P.End are always appreciated. Lupe has said he’s got just one more to go and the supposed final album is said to be a three-disc concept album that should keep us occupied indefinitely.
Until then, here’s a wikid piece of Lupe artwork from Idun Design as well as Fire, one of his newer tracks from The Fake Shore Drive Mixtape which also features The Cool Kids, Kanye, and GLC. Enjoy.
Sidenote: If you check the Idun Design link, the artist explains how he created the artwork. It’s pretty interesting.

As a former indie-rock kid I’m often disappointed in the lack of new music I get from the genre. Thankfully, good friends are able to keep me current (thanks Amanda!). This is a feel good summer tune with a crazy infectious chorus that will not leave your head. Oh, and I want that cat for my room.
I’ve been impressed with everything Common Projects has done to date and today is no exception. First, they created a market for minimalist, Italian made, costly sneakers. This was followed by their recent venture into leather goods. Now, Common Projects has teamed up with Moscot Originals on the limited-edition Type 001 pictured above. The sunglasses feature Common Projects signature gold numbering on the inside of the temple. You can grab them for $285 from Moscot Stores or check their website. I’d say, Common Projects is still doing things just right.
I remember the first time I saw Superbad. It was the perfect combination of hilariousness, tears and expressing man to man heterosexual love. When exceptional comedies came out, we’d say things like “It was pretty awesome, but not as good as Superbad”. “Nothing is as good as Superbad” was the response of reason.
Jonah Hill now has a pretty solid lineup of movies under his belt including some writing and producing credits on Bruno, Sacha Baron Cohen’s new movie. Jonah is now on the new cover of Complex Magazine. You can read his interview in full and check out his inappropriate Michael Jackson themed photo-shoot. Check out the video of the shoot right hurr.
So I know everyone must be getting sick of me posting Miike Snow. It’s not my fault they started releasing amazing songs from their debut CD months ago. Well, if you missed it, Miike Snow’s album came out just a couple weeks ago and its been getting worn out over here (that’s if mp3 files resembled CDs, tapes, or records in any way).
This particular song has been dominating my simple mind with its march worthy drumline, warm synthlines, and emotional lyrics. I hate to say it but it’s not that hard to imagine it blaring over the TV after some girl on The Hills talks about how their best friend Sylvia is leaving LA and it’s totally not fair and hard (this may be a result of Miike Snow band members Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg [the duo responsible for many a pop princess hit - including Brit’s Grammy winning ‘Toxic’]).
Thank god it transcends any genre you try to peg it as. Miike Snow remains a relatively undiscovered bomb set to explode.
