On my little R&D trip for Handsome I’ve been really digging the musical stylings of Pittsburgh’s B. Rich. The kid has been doing it right for years, but he really seems to be hitting his stride right now.
One of his latest songs that has been fulfilling my unquenchable thirst for bassline is a tune called “It’ll Be Alright”. It’s off his new EP entitled “Make Me Dance” and has everything I could wish for: a bouncy tribal beat (tribal beats are all the rage these days), some wonky horns, and a whole lot of wobble & bass.
My only complaint is the lyrics that are very house-track-from 2002-esque. I’d ove to hear Fake Blood get their hands on the vocal track and take this to the next level (or I could see Drop The Lime do some damage). Regardless, this song is still tops and must be heard.
