Lemon Magazine | Handsome Clothing Co.

We constantly try to bring you the best of everything on Handsome whether it be music, fashion, movies, tv, or anything else. Sadly our love of reading doesn’t always come across on this blog. In an attempt to curb this dangerous trend I must talk about one of the newest magazines I have discovered, Lemon Magazine.

The first thing thing that caught my attention was a beautiful picture of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (1/2 of Daft Punk) in full robotic garb. I had to pick up the magazine just for that, but I was pleasantly surprised that the pages behind the cover were equally impressive. The guys at Lemon do not follow the “rules” of a typical magazine, and that is exactly what the dwindling industry of print material needs.

Gorgeous design, original page layout, and articles covering a breadth of topics are something that you don’t see much of anymore, but the annual Lemon is out to change all of that. I think their own description says it the best: “LEMON is “Pop Culture With A Twist”: a new breed of magazine that stakes its claim at the intersection of 60s-70s Pop and 21st century hyper-culture. Designed and produced with obsessive attention to every last detail, each issue of LEMON is pure Pop Art.”

Lemon 4 (the issue I picked up entitled “Heroes”) features exclusive contributions from David Bowie himself, Daft Punk, Buzz Aldrin, John Hurt, Iggy Pop, Justice, and many more. Besides the amazing visuals I’m really into their music section where each interview is reproduced in a graphic novel format. A magazine with a Justice comic about their love of Wesley Snipes? I’ll be getting my subscription ASAP and I suggest you do the same.
