You know we have to keep you updated on acts from Toronto. We posted about Torro Torro a while ago when they came out with a dominant remix of Barletta’s (another Toronto native) “Panther”. It was the first time we heard anything from the guys and we were impressed.
Lucky for us, Torro Torro decided to share some of their other remixes and all of them are pure dancefloor fire. My favorites are definitely the remix of Sidney Samson’s “Riverside” and Rye Rye’s “Bang Bang” featuring M.I.A. On “Riverside” they fill the song up with a mean bassline and pump up everything else to make sure that this is THE peak time killer. “Bang Bang” is similarly menacing. Somehow they were even able to make me enjoy Rye Rye’s Bmore voice despite it’s rather dated sound (sorry Bmore… you’re genre was exciting to me for maybe a month before I realized every song sounded the same).
Head over to Torro Torro’s MySpace to grab other fire remixes of Crookers and La Roux. Listen to what Toronto can do below.
