Apparently it is hip-hop day here at Handsome HQ. I’m guessing most of you are getting pretty tired of Drake’s summer anthem “Best I Ever Had”, but new kid on the scene Matamatics has just recently given it a fresh update that helps push back the expiry date.

Matamatics abandons the heavy R&B influence of the original and decides to infect some fun and sunshine into it. It reminds me a lot of “The Way We Ball” by Lil’ Flip and that’s a huge compliment when it comes to my tastes. Maybe you never liked the song to begin with but do yourself a favor and check this one out.

P.S. I wonder how Drake feels about MTV buying the rights to play Degrassi: The Next Generation and giving all of the USA a chance to see him in high school as Jimmy Brooks, the basketball star who becomes physically disabled after being shot by a classmate. (Canada is old-school laughing at Drake for his weird ass haircut and his “dramatic” acting… ahhhh we’re just joshin’)

P.P.S. I totally saw one of the other members of Degrassi at an Alkaline Trio concert back in the day and he was heckled hard-core, maybe that’s why Drake is so emotional in his rapping.
