Movie Review: Avatar

See this movie in 3D. It’d be a waste of time to see it in anything but.
I’d imagine seeing this in IMAX would blow you away, however, I did not and still enjoyed the visuals.
This is the first 3D movie I have seen that makes a legitimate case for improving and continuing with the technology. In the future when we enter experience machine’s to enjoy movies, we will have Avatar to thank for pushing the medium forward.
The tall blue things are less annoying then you would imagine (ie. Jar Jar Binks still remains the most annoying CGI character in movie history).
The story is hokey but it’s interesting enough to carry the movie along and keep the stunning visuals coming.
George Lucas should have waited until this new 3D technology to do the Star Wars prequels.
It’s basically a mash-up of The Matrix, FernGully, Jurassic Park, and Titanic in 3D. If that sounds good to you, you will like this movie.
