Danger‘s “09/17 2007″ EP is out on vinyl on January 25th & digitally on February 1st, and to celebrate the occasion he is offering his song “4h30″ up for free. Even if you don’t know him, you should be excited.
Danger rose to everyone’s “must watch” lists when he released his song “11h30″ back in 2007. Sounding like the genius lovechild of Justice and Kavinsky, Danger proved there was room for more than just two masked French electronic producers in the world.
“4h30″ sounds like the music that should have been played during that badass ninja training 90s montage in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (you know the one, when they’re all sad because they don’t where Splinter is). Come to think of it, his costume kind of looks like a one of the footsoldiers for Shredder without the bandana. Anyways, all I’m really trying to say is that “4h30″ is incredibly good and largely cinematic. Get it and don’t forget to check out the teaser video below that makes me nostalgic for all the hours (not) wasted inside arcades during the 90s.
Important/Little known facts about Danger:
- He was a graphic designer before pursuing music, however, he still makes/designs the visuals for the Danger project
- He conducts all interviews for Danger in full mask and uniform
- All song names are times because: “We can say that I think that one hour is as evocative as an emotional feeling or a literary classic (book). I’ve lived my life to pay attention to the time & honestly found that the door to a 20:45 or a 14h is within & of themselves, altogether with the feelings involved…”
