We were happy to see the launch of (capsule) Travel Mart this year as we get ready to attend (capsule) Clothing Show next week in New York City. The Travel Mart consists of a few pieces made exclusively for (capsule) this year from the likes of Jack Spade, Ally Capellino and Mark McNairy. There have been some interesting trends with men lately including a new appreciation for fashionable apothecary and a return to traditional grooming. We had a chance to preview the entire Baxter line and were especially impressed with their shaving products. The Super Close Shave Formula and After Shave Balm are both worth checking out. Even more exciting is the Baxter Safety Razor. The chrome plated, double edge, safety razor is making a resurgence years after its conception in the late 18th century.

When it comes to filling our bathrooms with products, we often use the same approach as filling our closets. Shu Uemura is a Japanese company, with simple and clean aesthetics. Luckily, if you do get past the packaging, you won’t be dissapointed by the products within.

Once we got over how cool it was simply to use Japanese hair product we were actually really impressed by the quality. Their Art of Hair Shape Paste is solid for doing your hair up without it becoming hard or greasy. Worth a grab especially with the Shu Uemura’s complimentary shipping in their online store.

This news seems kind of odd and obscure, but it’s not to be overlooked among endless piles of recent collaborations. This is exceptional largely because Kiehl’s is legitimately awesome. It’s a great product that we support and if you’re gonna use it, why not make your toiletries look a little cooler?

For the release, NY graffiti artist, KAWS has team up with the non-profit RxArt and Keihl’s. 100% of the profits from the product will go towards RxArt’s mission of curating installations in hospitals across the United States.

A rapper once asked does the fact that you have $300 jeans on mean you dream wrong? I don’t think so. Expensive jeans have become standard these days making men everywhere feel more dressed up in denim. It’s an exceptional piece in terms of pricing that seems disproportionately expensive to other pieces in our casual wardrobe. Sometimes, it can be stressful taking care of them. Personally, I’ve gone with the advice of washing denim close to never to keep them looking as they were on purchase. Airing them out is surprisingly effective as far as my nose can tell, but sometimes there’s a better solution out there if we were just educated on the matter. Oki-ni has come out with their tech-ni-cal guide to denim. It’s totally worth checking out for some education on how to wash your jeans, their construction, different denim finishes and a little history on the material.

I never thought I’d ever do this. I’m not sure I even want to do this but I feel the need to tell people about this soap because it’s the best thing that has joined my shower since I got a shower radio when I was a teenager. First of all, I am a big fan of the bar of soap coming back. I’ve never really bought into this whole shower gel phenomena and it feels right to get a bar back in the bathroom. It also doesn’t hurt my ego as much when I talk about a soap that’s nicknamed “ultimate man”.

Yep, I just posted about soap. Make fun of me if you want but not before actually trying this stuff out.

I picked up an Antenna magazine a couple weeks ago from my local Border’s Bookstore and was really impressed and surprised that I had never heard of it before. Basically, it is a magazine that profiles what’s new in tons of different categories with entertaining commentaries and articles spread throughout the mag. I’ve only got the one issue but this seems like a must for anyone who wants to be on the cutting edge of everything.

Their about section does a better job of describing what they’re about so here it is:
