Givenchy’s Madonna imagery has been popular on several styles including the brand’s graphic t-shirts and satin sweatshirts. One of our favourite mediums for the motif is Givenchy’s athletic-cut shorts which feature an all-over graphic combined with a trapunto quilted effect throughout. The lined shorts are a great investment piece that encapsulates Riccardo Tisci’s current aesthetic for the historic fashion house.
We have had the privilege to watch the rise of Troubadour from its earliest conversations to being a full-fledged brand that we have deep respect for. Samuel Bail and Abel Samet set off to create uncompromised leather products. We were energized by their progress as they travelled Europe and North America looking for the best of everything. The brand reflects their successful search with thoughtful design, supple leather, quality hardware and exceptional branding. Every component of the brand is well thought out and executed with intention.
Knowing the great quality of the products, we naturally invested heavily in the collection. We have first hand experience with Troubadour’s Day Bag, Wallet and iPad Case. With use, their products quickly reflect the level of thought that went into their ergonomic designs. Troubadour is a brand to believe in and one that is undoubtedly built to last.

VICE has consistently been a reliable resource learn about stories most news outlets tend to ignore. In the past couple of years they have started to get the recognition they deserve from more established news agency’s. CNN had tapped them to do some special assignments and now HBO has given them their own show to spread their unique brand of journalism.
In a bid to gain viewership, HBO has uploaded the entire first episode online for you to watch. There are a couple cringe worthy Brooklyn hipster moments with the first shown journalist (most notably the “Yeah that is an RPG. No shit.” comment while visiting child soldiers in the Philippines), but they don’t detract much from the stunning visuals and brave reporting.
We were first introduced to Cashmere Cat like a lot of people. His song “Mirror Maru” spread like wildfire across the internet when it dropped some months ago. He’s back in form with this remix of one of our favorite songs from Miguel’s last album. It’s the first dance oriented song we’ve liked in some time.
We have developed an ongoing appreciation for Neighborhood’s building collection of Booze Incense Chambers. The Colt and The Skull chambers we have seen in the last year were both thoughtful and intriguing.
The latest offering from Neighborhood is The Booze Crow Incense Chamber. This menacing crow sits atop a human skull marked with Caesar’s infamous “Veni Vidi Vici” (Latin for “I came, I saw, I conquered”) that is resting on a book titled “The Black Arts”.
Shlohmo has come a long way in a short time. As one of the most recognizable artists part of the WEDIDIT collective, he has been able to balance a strong artistic vision of the weird while appealing to the masses. His latest, a remix of Young Scooter’s Colombia is no different. Yeah, it’s trap song which even the bros of the world have started to hop on the bandwagon by now. However, instead of big build ups and “real trap shit” drops, he focuses on making some new complicated footwork inspired drum patterns and some ethereal touches that have become his signature.
It’s rare that we would describe a piece of music as something as lofty as life affirming. By this we mean music that makes life seem grander and more full of possibilities. Or maybe it just pulls back the veil of everyday drudgery and shows life for what is and always has been.
Music has always been judged on its ability to make you feel something and it’s obvious that this Bear//Face remix of James Blake’s “Voyeur” does just that.
Gordon Von Steiner is an exceptional videographer out of New York, originally from Canada. We have been fans of his work for a while, which you have likely seen as well through GQ. He recently created the latest video for Givenchy and Barneys which is simply phenomenal. The content, editing and soundtrack come together for a truly engaging experience.
